In Loving Memory of Mary Catherine Anne Underwood...

Mary Catherine Anne Underwood
July 2, 1948 – October 30, 2005

Mary was a woman of unique skills and personal fortitude. Her interests varied from camping and the out-of-doors to the fisheries industry and gourmet cooking. Mary lived her life with great curiosity and enthusiasm. So it was that she gathered her personal strength for a final return to the Pacific Ocean on the Oregon coast with her good friend Mark. It was here that she found joy and peace.

Mary passed away in the Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, Oregon due to advanced stages of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s Disease). She leaves her father Chet Underwood, her beloved daughter Phoebe Moon Underwood along with many close relatives and friends. She was preceeded in passing by her sister Julie, mother Barbara and brother Dennis.

Mary’s life will be celebrated on November 26, 2005, 11:30am at
St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church

vibrating to a different measure
